Kindergarten-First Grade Starter is geared toward children who are verbal and in general education and who are at risk for academic success. This intensive classroom program teaches core skills for school-based learning through the use of themes. It focuses on language, cognition, social skills, literacy skills, and understanding classroom routines. Kindergarten-First Grade Starter is led by a professional speech-language clinician and a reading specialist, with assistance from a music therapist, a teaching assistant, and trained volunteers.
Kindergarten-First Grade Starter is supported in part through the generous donations made to the Center.
